Because of COVID19 I am out of work right now. Luckily my husband still has his job so we’re doing OK. Since I can’t work I thought that now would be a good time to get pregnant. We’ve been married two years and and had decided to wait until we had been married for five years to have a baby. My husband is strongly against having a baby right now but it seems like to me that since I can’t work anyway that this would be a good time. What do you think?
It sounds like you are looking for something to do now that you aren’t working. When you planned to wait five years there must have been a reason that you and your husband both agreed on. Maybe the reason was that he wanted to be financially stable before you had children. What if your husband happened to lose his job as well? He would then be faced with no money to support his new family and pay all the expenses that go with running a household. The middle of a pandemic is probably not a good time to change your plan.
