My grandfather is in a nursing home and seriously ill. He’s my Dad’s Dad and my parents are divorced so I haven’t seen him for a while. When I was little I was his favorite and I remember playing cards with him and hide and seek. I really want to go see him but my Mom said the nursing home probably wouldn’t let him have visitors because of the COVID virus. How can I get to see him?
The COVID virus has forced nursing homes to keep visitors away because the elderly are the most likely to die from it. If your grandfather is seriously ill he might not be able to do any of the electronic options so maybe you could write him a letter and let him know how much you miss him and how you remember your fun times together. You might want to give him your phone number in case he feels good enough to give you a call. We have to do the best we can in these troubling times.
